WCRX is the student-run radio station of Columbia College Chicago. The station is dedicated to embodying professional, ethical, and legal standards while promoting a learning and leadership experience for students. WCRX provides broadcasting services to the Columbia College campus and surrounding communities in Cook County.
Maya Tanaka Allwardt is a jazz fusion pianist who captivates audiences with her distinctive style and technical virtuosity. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Hiromi, Herbie Hancock, and Chick Corea, her award-winning talent for piano and percussion has cemented her reputation as a major talent and musical innovator.

Liptoss are a seven-piece band with two lead singers. They blend catchy pop hooks with the gritty authenticity of rock’s rebellious spirit. Coming from New Orleans and Los Angeles, the Chicago-based group joins the tradition of female-fronted grunge that arose in the early 90’s. The dual vocal stylings of guitarist Lydia Billie and bassist Marlowe Shachory are supported by the incomparable drumming of Sabrina Borg. Flynn, also known as Ace Eighty, originates from Peoria, IL, where his musical journey began. Experimenting with various genres, he found solace in acoustic instruments and his own voice. Versus Vitality is a new up and coming band from Chicago made up entirely of students from Columbia College Chicago. Their formation was an amusing chain of coincidences, one after another, uniting them. They play fusion inspired post-punk, with elements of jazz, emo, and funk.

Sam Wing is a singer/songwriter whose music combines classical forms with elements of pop, folk, soul. Classically trained on the cello and self-taught on drums, guitar, and piano, he began recording his own music in his bedroom during the pandemic. Sam dreams of making a living through his own music.
Mad Rose, a Minneapolis-born, Chicago-based singer-songwriter, has spent over three years crafting emotive melodies inspired by indie artists such as Julia Jacklin and Mitski. With two projects out on Bandcamp and more in development, Mad Rose's music weaves a narrative of loneliness, love, and yearning.

King Noah emerges from the vibrant musical landscape of Chicago's west side, carving his niche as an artist with a distinct blend of alternative R&B and soul. From his high school days of crafting hooks and penning verses, King Noah has spent the past six years honing his style. His musical influences are many and varied, ranging from Stevie Wonder to Boyz II Men, and Charlie Wilson to Charlie Puth.

Nathan Frederic is an acoustic musician originally from the San Francisco Bay Area. He plays indie rock with hints of psychedelia, inspired by folk artists like Nick Drake and Elliott Smith. With a family from Québec, Nathan is also heavily influenced by 70s prog bands like Beau Dommage and Harmonium.
Originating in New York, the band began as a side project for singer and guitarist Patrick O’Shea. Patrick is a freshman audio major at Columbia College Chicago who has been playing music for just a few years. The band has already released four albums, including their most recent, Kick.
