WCRX is the student-run radio station of Columbia College Chicago. The station is dedicated to embodying professional, ethical, and legal standards while promoting a learning and leadership experience for students. WCRX provides broadcasting services to the Columbia College campus and surrounding communities in Cook County.

Feed the Monkeys rose from the ashes of high school cover bands in the Chicago suburbs, pulling inspiration from the likes of Vundabar, Title Fight, Chon, and Jeff Rosenstock to brew their blend of indie-punk in 2018. An album and several EPs later, they are more determined than ever to keep growing as writers and performers. Currently comprised of Chris Rieger, LJ Galdo, Julian Race, and Chris Ziebert, Feed the Monkeys is slowly gaining a sense of self in the local music scene - without taking themselves all too seriously.

One of the best ways to create your Columbia community is to get involved! Sessions@33 is a music organization here at Columbia, that gathers students from all departments ranging from Film and Television to Business and Photography! Build not only your portfolio, but connections and networks with fellow students and bodies!
As a volunteer, here is a basic rundown of what we do:
Record music artists and bands
Film the performance live
Promote artists and bands via social media
Host live shows with bands who come in and record a session!
Sessions@33 is GREAT for your resume if you’re interested in anything film or music-related, here are some positions we are currently looking for:
ARTIST LIAISON: Assist in filming a Session with school-provided cameras. Assist in audio. Film social media content. Interview / liaise with local artists and bands.
FILM ASSISTANT: Film with professional-grade cameras. Photography and video opportunities.
EDITING ASSISTANT: Edit film footage of artists/bands. Create final Sessions@33 YouTube video.
SOCIAL MEDIA ASSISTANT: Assist in photo/video coverage of Sessions@33. Film artists/bands as they record in the studio. Post clips and behind-the-scenes content of Sessions recordings. Photo / Video / Other content of Sessions@33 volunteers.

PERFORM WITH SESSIONS
Looking to expand your performance experience? Sessions@33 is the perfect place to do so, as we specialize in recording artists and bands, almost like your very own music video! If you are a music artist or in a band we’d love to have you come out and perform!
As a performer, here is a basic rundown of what will we do:
PERFORMER:
Record 3 original songs and 1 cover
Film the live performance with professional-grade cameras
Edit and mix your audio
Create a final 10-15 minute video, posted to the WCRXFM YouTube channel and podcast outlets.
Promotion on Instagram, Tiktok & all other Social Media outlets.
