The station is dedicated to embodying professional, ethical, and legal standards while promoting a learning and leadership experience for students. WCRX provides broadcasting services to the Columbia College campus and surrounding communities in Cook County.

Moonsyde formed when guitarist Clint Moon met vocalist Chris Kenji Brenden through the hip hop collective known as HIDEOUT. Through their musical connection on campus, they were joined by five more members to round out their sound, and they’ve been actively working on new music ever since.

From the south suburbs of Chicago comes Red Adrenaline! A three-piece punk rock band with roots in garage rock, grunge, and metal. The band jokingly describes themselves as “like Nirvana but worse”. But in all honesty, the band has crafted a blend of sonic goodness that can't be put into a single subgenre.

Sweet Hudson is a four-piece alternative rock band from Chicago, largely influenced by the likes of bands such as The Strokes, The Last Dinosaurs, and NUMBER GIRL. The band embraces the jank that is their lives and puts it into the context of their inconsistent sound.

Coming from New Orleans and Los Angeles, the Chicago-based group joins the tradition of female-fronted grunge that arose in the early 90’s. The dual vocal stylings of guitarist Lydia Billie and bassist Marlowe Shachory are supported by the incomparable drumming of Sabrina Borg. Founded in 2022, the star-studded power group has been chipping away at the Chicago DIY scene and winning its heart. Superdime blends a unique sound of indie influences with early 90's grunge that sticks in your head long after you've heard their music. The group consists of Nolan Manke (Vocals and Rhythm Guitar), Maggie Smith (Lead Guitar), Jeremy Donofrio (Bass), and Jack Mitchell (Drums).
