Step onto the stage with us! This week we meet actor and contemporary performance maker Olivia Parker (she/her). We learn the ins and outs of performance art, the difference in the art styles she specializes in, and the importance of participatory art. She also shares how she got her start in performance and the bravery behind putting yourself on the stage.
In today’s episode we are sharing the spotlight, covering the behind the scenes of acting, theatre, and playwriting. We first talk with Micah Mixon (they/she) about being an actor in a world of ‘no’ and how to not lose yourself in the audition process. Then we meet with playwright Miranda Hunter (she/they) to discuss the serious stigma in the playwrighting community and the silly inspiration behind her comedic plays.
