The station is dedicated to embodying professional, ethical, and legal standards while promoting a learning and leadership experience for students. Hailing from the Chicagoland area, Broken Demeanor is known throughout the city and surrounding suburbs for their energetic live shows and powerful, memorable songs. The band sprung onto the scene in the summer of 2021 and has since grown their fanbase both in and out of state with a hardcore-adjacent flavor of heavy punk rock that they have made their own. Having released their latest EP, "Where Is Home?" in the spring of 2024, and playing a steady string of shows in the Midwest and New England ever since, the band is poised to make strides in 2025 with more releases and tour dates. Bread on Fork is a 6-piece soul-fusion band from Chicago that draws on the individual inspirations of their members, ranging from jazz and neo-soul to psych rock and folk. They seek to remain lighthearted and recognize the joy of music while writing about the experiences of being young adults in the contemporary age and the range of emotions and challenges that follow. They are currently working on recording and releasing more originals and playing shows in the Chicago area following their past shows at prominent venues such as Martyr’s and Cole’s Bar. Moonsyde formed when guitarist Clint Moon met vocalist Chris Kenji Brenden through the hip hop collective known as HIDEOUT. Through their musical connection on campus, they were joined by five more members to round out their sound, and they’ve been actively working on new music ever since.

Myskie is a rapper, lyricist, and musician proudly from the Southside of Chicago. He’s always been a performer and musician, but through the struggle of quarantine, he began to take music seriously as a lifestyle and career. He draws influence from artists like J Cole, Lil Wayne, Ice Cube, Chance the Rapper and many more. If you forget how to say Myskie, it rhymes with “ain’t nobody like me”.

Noah Floersch is a Nashville-based 25-year-old artist and songwriter. Born and raised in Nebraska, Floersch developed a sound with folk roots, rock stems, and pop flowers. Since 2018, Floersch has released over 70 original songs, the most notable being “Ghost of Chicago,” “On Your Mind,” and “Love You By Myself.” He recently finished a tour opening for Ricky Montgomery.

Flynn, also known as Ace Eighty, originates from Peoria, IL, where his musical journey began. Experimenting with various genres, he found solace in acoustic instruments and his own voice. Influenced by the likes of Frank Ocean, Bon Iver, and DC The Don, his music blends soulful melodies with introspective lyrics.

Mad Rose, a Minneapolis-born, Chicago-based singer-songwriter, has spent over three years crafting emotive melodies inspired by indie artists such as Julia Jacklin and Mitski. With two projects out on Bandcamp and more in development, Mad Rose's music weaves a narrative of loneliness, love, and yearning.

King Noah emerges from the vibrant musical landscape of Chicago's west side, carving his niche as an artist with a distinct blend of alternative R&B and soul. From his high school days of crafting hooks and penning verses, King Noah has spent the past six years honing his style. His musical influences are many and varied, ranging from Stevie Wonder to Boyz II Men, and Charlie Wilson to Charlie Puth.

Nathan Frederic is an acoustic musician originally from the San Francisco Bay Area. He plays indie rock with hints of psychedelia, inspired by folk artists like Nick Drake and Elliott Smith. With a family from Québec, Nathan is also heavily influenced by 70s prog bands like Beau Dommage and Harmonium.
MALA $ANTA is a Chicago-born rapper and producer who entices her audience with unique rhythms and lyrics. She delivers an ethereal sonic experience that takes inspiration from Hip Hop, EDM, RnB, Soul, and Reggaeton. Mala started pursuing music in 2022, but while her experience is brief, her vision is clear.

Adelaide is a Chicago based folk artist originally from the metro-Detroit area. For them, poetry and songwriting are a way of healing and processing difficult times. Adelaide finds most of their inspiration in conversations with loved ones and the folk music of the 1960s. Their music touches on themes of family, heartache, identity, and coming-of-age.
The Megan Esther Band is a local Chicago group made up of Columbia Students and Alumni. Drawing inspiration from Joni Mitchell, Dolly Parton, and many more, The Megan Esther Band blends their folk rock sound with jazz and a bit of country twang.
