Episode 3: Keisha Janae

Keisha Janae has experience in performance, choreography, and teaching artistry. She is excited to be in her first season with Red Clay Dance Company. She desires to use her career to cross social barriers. She recently founded Eternal Resolve, an initiative of dancers that use movement to self-realize and heal. Eternal Resolve will collaborate with Keisha to create this performance at the Dance Center.

Episode 2: Orlando De Leon

Orlando De Leon Jr. is ais a new generation street-style movement artist. Self-trained from the age of 12, OJ is interested in styles including animation, tutting and liquid styles of street dance.. Orlando is the Co-founder of [un]common grounds, a Chicago-based dance initiative that promotes artists’ connection making as well as freestyle expression.

Episode 1: Vershawn Sanders Ward

Sanders-Ward is the Founding Artistic Director and CEO of Red Clay Dance Company. Sanders-Ward is a 2019 Chicago Dancemakers Forum Awardee, a 2019 Harvard Business School Club of Chicago Scholar, a 2017 Dance/USA Leadership Fellow, a 2013 3Arts awardee, and a 2009 Choreography Award from Harlem Stage NYC. In 2015, 2018 and 2020, NewCity Magazine selected Ward as one of the “Players 50, People Who Really Perform for Chicago.”
