KATHRYNN VETTAS & FRIENDS

Though she grew up in a musical family, Kathrynn discovered music on her own. As a kid, she was inspired by artists she found on YouTube — anyone from Justin Bieber to Tina Turner. Now, she’s playing with musicians who each come from different musical backgrounds. But despite that, the band is united in their goal, to embody music itself.

FEED THE MONKEYS

Feed the Monkeys rose from the ashes of high school cover bands in the Chicago suburbs, pulling inspiration from the likes of Vundabar, Title Fight, Chon, and Jeff Rosenstock to brew their blend of indie-punk in 2018. Feed the Monkeys is slowly gaining a sense of self in the local music scene - without taking themselves all too seriously.

YIN WASTER

Shortly after meeting at Columbia College Chicago, the duo, Griffin Mang and Gabe Huff began playing shows around the city as well as recording, producing and releasing their own songs in a style which they lovingly refer to as "gas station folk''.  Yin Waster hopes you dig in and enjoy all the cosmic shenanigans they have to offer.

MOONSYDE

Moonsyde formed when guitarist Clint Moon met vocalist Chris Kenji Brenden through the hip hop collective known as HIDEOUT. Through their musical connection on campus, they were joined by five more members to round out their sound, and they’ve been actively working on new music ever since.

Hemlocke is a band that likes to explore the blending of genres from metal and alternative to shoegaze and grunge. With backgrounds from across the US, and musical interests from System of a Down to Karol G, Hemlocke is no stranger to experimentation in their writing.

Ever wanted the theatrics of emo and the horror of hardcore to smooch a little? May we introduce to you, Chicago's own eerie, dancey, scream-soaked four-piece: Carnivore Mommy. This 4-piece featuring Lauren on vocals, Sage on bass, Nicholas on guitar, and Gabe on drums, is sure to stoke your inner fire.

MYSKIE

Myskie is a rapper, lyricist, and musician proudly from the Southside of Chicago. He’s always been a performer and musician, but through the struggle of quarantine, he began to take music seriously as a lifestyle and career. He draws influence from artists like J Cole, Lil Wayne, Ice Cube, Chance the Rapper and many more. If you forget how to say Myskie, it rhymes with “ain’t nobody like me”.

LEMONS

Kannon Steinmeyer, guitarist and vocalist from the St. Louis-based psychedelic garage rock band, Lemons, adapts a few songs from the Lemon’s discography for this lone acoustic performance. With crunchy riffs and roaring vocals, Lemons puts on an impassioned must-see performance.

PRINTING HOUSE

Printing House is a vibrant six-piece band electrifying the Chicago music scene with their unique blend of rock, alternative, and soul. Formed by a group of talented musicians who crossed paths at Columbia College Chicago, their synergy and passion for music have captivated audiences throughout the city. Stay tuned, because Printing House is just getting started.

NOAH FLOERSCH

 Noah Floersch is a Nashville-based 25-year-old artist and songwriter. Born and raised in Nebraska, Floersch developed a sound with folk roots, rock stems, and pop flowers. Since 2018, Floersch has released over 70 original songs, the most notable being “Ghost of Chicago,” “On Your Mind,” and “Love You By Myself.” He recently finished a tour opening for Ricky Montgomery.

ARCADIA GREY

In the ever-growing realm of fifth-wave emo, there are bands that make you feel, and bands that make you feel feral. Arcadia Grey does both. With heart-wrenching lyrics and explosive mosh anthems, the Chicago outfit has caught the attention of Alternative Press as well as crowds around the country.

RED ADRENALINE

From the south suburbs of Chicago comes Red Adrenaline! A three-piece punk rock band with roots in garage rock, grunge, and metal. The band jokingly describes themselves as “like Nirvana but worse”. But in all honesty, the band has crafted a blend of sonic goodness that can't be put into a single subgenre.

SWEET HUDSON

Sweet Hudson is a four-piece alternative rock band from Chicago, largely influenced by the likes of bands such as The Strokes, The Last Dinosaurs, and NUMBER GIRL. The band embraces the jank that is their lives and puts it into the context of their inconsistent sound.

Maya Tanaka Allwardt is a jazz fusion pianist who captivates audiences with her distinctive style and technical virtuosity. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Hiromi, Herbie Hancock, and Chick Corea, her award-winning talent for piano and percussion has cemented her reputation as a major talent and musical innovator.

Liptoss are a seven-piece band with two lead singers. They blend catchy pop hooks with the gritty authenticity of rock’s rebellious spirit. The band is unified by the effort to infuse their music with a fresh, invigorating sound. They invite listeners to immerse themselves in a world where the boundaries between pop and rock blur.

LACELES

Coming from New Orleans and Los Angeles, the Chicago-based group joins the tradition of female-fronted grunge that arose in the early 90’s. The dual vocal stylings of guitarist Lydia Billie and bassist Marlowe Shachory are supported by the incomparable drumming of Sabrina Borg. Keep an eye out for Laceles in your local Chicago and Milwaukee venues.

ACE EIGHTY

Flynn, also known as Ace Eighty, originates from Peoria, IL, where his musical journey began. Experimenting with various genres, he found solace in acoustic instruments and his own voice. Influenced by the likes of Frank Ocean, Bon Iver, and DC The Don, his music blends soulful melodies with introspective lyrics.

Versus Vitality is a new up and coming band from Chicago made up entirely of students from Columbia College Chicago. Their formation was an amusing chain of coincidences, one after another, uniting them. They play fusion inspired post-punk, with elements of jazz, emo, and funk.
